You should be collecting the best data possible (locally) to correlate with the conditions you have around your area.
Lightning Displays, Software, and Hardware vary from one office to the next, whether it be NLDN, LIS, OTD, LMA, or FORTE. Whatever the data source is will dictate the type data you can use. Also, independent databases must be built using that data locally if it is to be useful for CWA area, and to your forecasters!
